Bahia has a new target on the market. In search of a goalkeeper to fight for the starting position, the Squadron is negotiating the signing of Argentinean Guido Herrera, 32 years old, who plays for Talleres, in Argentina. The information comes from journalist César Luis Merlo.
According to the Argentine press, Bahia presented a formal offer to Talleres to have the player permanently. The two clubs negotiate.
Guido Herrera was revealed by Belgrano and in Argentina he played for Defensores de Belgrano, Miter and since 2016 he has played for Talleres. In 2020, he was loaned to Turkey’s Yeni Malatyaspor, but returned to Talleres the following season. Last year, he played in 49 games for the Argentine club, where he is captain.
Bahia is looking for a goalkeeper to fight for the starting spot. The Squad tried to sign Everson, from Atlético-MG, but there was no agreement. Tiago Volpi, from Toluca-MEX, was also speculated on in the tricolor.
Currently, Bahia has three goalkeepers in the main squad: Danilo Fernandes, Marcos Felipe and Dénis Júnior. The tricolor also has young Gabriel, who played in the first three games of the Bahia Championship.
