SP Civil Defense issues warning of intense heat and rain for this week

The Civil Defense of the State of São Paulo issued, this Monday (20), a warning of intense heat and rapid, isolated rain showers, typical of summer, throughout the week.

The forecast is that until Wednesday (22) the sun will predominate with high temperatures can reach up to 38°Cespecially in the northern and western regions of the state.

A Baixada Santistas recorded the highest temperature of the year this Monday (20), with a maximum of 38°C in Santos and Bertioga. For the course of the week, the forecast is for maximum temperatures of up to 36°C in the region.

In the regions of Araçatuba and Presidente Prudente, maximum temperatures can also reach 38°C. In Ribeirão Preto, Araraquara and Barretos, thermometers can register 37°C.

In São José do Rio Preto the temperature should reach 36°C, while in the regions of Campinas and Bauru the maximum should be 35°C.

I and Maximum temperatures of 34ºC are expected in the Capital of São Paulo and the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. The same for the regions of São José dos Campos and Marília.

For the regions of Sorocaba and Franca, forecast 33ºC and for the region of Itapeva, 32°C.

Rain is forecast despite the intense heat. Isolated rains are expected, which may be accompanied by lightning, strong winds and, in isolated cases, hail, especially in the regions bordering Paraná.
