Directive revokes measure by former President Joe Biden, which prohibited the detention of illegal foreigners in “sensitive locations”

The acting Secretary of Homeland Security of the United States, Benjamine Huffman, issued a directive to revoke a measure by the government of former President Joe Biden (Democrat) that prohibited the arrest of illegal immigrants in “sensitive locations”.

The guideline announced on Tuesday (January 21, 2025) authorizes the service of (Customs and Border Protection, acronym in English) and the (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) carry out arrests in schools and churches.

“This action empowers the brave men and women of CBP and ICE to enforce our immigration laws and capture criminal aliens — including murderers and rapists — who have entered our country illegally. Criminals will no longer be able to hide in America’s schools and churches to avoid arrest. The Trump Administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement officers and instead trusts them to use common sense.”declared Huffman.

The secretary also announced a directive to limit the humanitarian parole program that allowed the mass stay of illegal immigrants. Now, the program will have a case-by-case analysis basis.

“The Biden-Harris administration abused the humanitarian parole program to indiscriminately allow 1.5 million migrants into our country. All of this was stopped on the first day of the Trump administration. This action will return the humanitarian parole program to its original purpose of analyzing migrants on a case-by-case basis.”said Huffman.
