“Citizens who are ‘selling’ their very personal data through iris scanning are unaware of the ‘determined purpose’ that will be given to this information. Furthermore, it cannot be said that consent has occurred through ‘free, informed and unequivocal expression’ as qualified by law, when people only agreed to undergo the procedure due to the material need to
receive a pecuniary amount, regardless of the true intentions of the data takers and their possible consequences”, says the document signed by Boulos and lawyer Ramon Arnús Koelle.
