Judge's questions to actress and presenter victim of harassment spark controversy in Spain

Elisa Mouliáa accuses Íñigo Errejón, former founder of the political party We can, of sexual harassment. A case that dates back to 2021, but was only reported last year. This Wednesday, the General Council of the Judiciary of Spain decided to open an investigation into the judge who questioned the actress and presenter, after receiving more than 900 complaints and allegations about his behavior.

Last year, the Spanish actress and presenter Elisa Mouliáa filed a sexual harassment complaint against Íñigo Errejón, former deputy and founder of the political party Podemos. The victim says he has being touched, groped and kissed without her consent after an encounter at a party, in a case that dates back to 2021.

This Wednesday, the from Spain decided to open an iinvestigation to the judge who questioned the actress, after having received more than 900 complaints and denunciations of his behavior. At issue are several questions that Adolfo Carretero did a Elisa Mouliáalast week, about the accusation he presented.

Both Elisa Mouliáa as Íñigo Errejónwere heard that same day, just a few hours apart. However, both told different versions of what had happened to the former deputy deny the accusations and guarantee that the relationship was consensual.

In one of the questions asked to the actress and presenter, the judge even asks: “Could it be that you were the one who wanted something to do with this gentleman and, by not answering him, denounced him?”. In the same hearing, Adolfo Carretero “reprimands” Elisa Mouliáa for not including in her complaint that she was “very drunk” that night.

“I remember that I was much more drunk than normal, everything revolved around me, I have gaps”, explained the actress when asked if she had told anyone present at the party about what happened.

“I didn’t say that in the complaint. Was she really very drunk?”, asked the judge.

The actress and presenter also explained to the judge that she felt “uncomfortable” when the former deputy pushed her against the wall and asked him to stop:“Yes, I told him I was feeling very uncomfortable,” explains the actress.

However, the judge insists: “No, not very uncomfortable, that is, didn’t I tell him to leave her alone, not to touch her? Did I say something like that?”

The judge’s behavior is being strongly questioned and criticized by public opinion which considers that the “voice tom” used during the interrogation of Elisa Mouliáa was different from that used with Íñigo Errejón.
