Donald Trump spoke of an “incredible visit” and “fantastic trade deals” after his state visit to Beijing with President Xi Jinping. We are familiar with such empty phrases from the US President, but given the tense situation between the world’s two largest economies, it is worth taking a closer look at the economic results.
