The 19 -year -old mechanic Antonio Altemires da Rocha Rodrigues was executed with three shots on his head on Sunday night (26), in front of his own residence, located at Rua José de Araújo, in the Chico Mendes neighborhood, in the upper part of the city from Rio Branco.

According to police reports, Antonio had just arrived from his girlfriend’s house when he stopped in front of his residence to smoke a marijuana cigarette. At this point, he was surprised by two criminals on a motorcycle. The passenger got out of the vehicle, approached the young man with a firearm and fired three shots at his head. After the crime, the suspects fled the scene.
Family members of the victim ran to check what had happened and found Antonio fallen, already lifeless. The Military Police and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were called. An advanced support ambulance was sent to the scene, but, upon arriving, rescuers only confirmed the death.
Military police cordoned off the area and triggered criminal expertise, as well as necropsy assistants from the Legal Medical Institute (IML). After the expert work, the body was sent to the IML for cadaverous examinations.
The case is initially being investigated by the Civil Police Employment Team (EPE) agents and will be referred to the Homicide and Personnel Protection Police Station (DHPP) for the continuity of investigations.
