Justice and Public Security Minister Ricardo Lewandowski said on Monday (27) in São Paulo that, despite the deportation of Brazilians from the United States to be planned in a treaty signed between the two countries, it needs to be done with respect and dignity.
According to Lewandowski, Brazilians who arrived in Manaus on Friday (24) after being deported by the US government were “dramatic situation” and underwent “absolutely unacceptable embarrassment.”
For the minister, the reaction of the Brazilian government in determining that the handcuffs of the deported passengers were removed was very sober.

“We had a very sober reaction. We do not want to provoke the US government because the deportation has been foreseen in a treaty that has been acting for several years between Brazil and the United States and authorizing deportation.
