MBL: position in Nunes Management, but says it independent – 27/01/2025 – Panel

The (Free Brazil Movement) won on Monday (27) a position in management (), with the appointment of Rafael Minatagawa, former chief of staff of the federal deputy (), as a subprefect of Vila Mariana.

Nevertheless, the movement says it does not support Nunes automatically. “We continue to be free to vote against what we don’t believe,” says Kim, one of the MBL coordinators.

The movement, which has had an opposition stance for Nunes in its first term, has been more aligned with the mayor since last year’s election campaign.

Kim himself tried to dispute the city hall against Nunes, but had to retreat after União Brasil supported the emedebista.

At the time, the information circulated that he would be contemplated with a position, but the deputy says that the subprefecture for his former advisor is an agreement with MBL, and not individually with him.

In the City Hall, the movement has a councilwoman, Amanda Vettorazzo (União Brasil), who engaged in the campaign of Nunes last year. She has also avoided criticism of the mayor.

In one of the main controversies of the current management this year, MBL has silenced, although it has a long history of applications work defense.

Nunes is against the institution of the service, and even filed a criminal complaint against companies such as Uber and 99.

According to Kim, the lack of manifestation on the subject is unrelated to proximity to Nunes management. “We are still evaluating, we did an internal survey and 80% of our followers said they were against,” says the parliamentarian.

The deputy states that MBL is studying a proposal in which applications can operate without causing traffic inconvenience.
