The Swedish police detained a man who, according to her, unsuccessfully tried to break through the gate of the Russian embassy in Stockholm. The detained 45-year-old man is suspected of the crime of unauthorized penetration of a foreign land with aggravating circumstances. They did not disclose his identity. According to Reuters, TASR reports this.
“The guard on the spot informed the police about a man who tried to cross the embassy gate in the Kungsholmen district. The man failed and was still in the car when the police detained him,” stated in a statement.
A spokesman for the Stockholm police explained that there is no indication that the man had acted with a particular motive. There was nothing suspicious in his car. According to Reuters, the Russian embassy was not immediately reachable for the statement.
