The priest, known for his inspiring messages and musical shows, shared the decision through his Instagram Stories last Friday (31). He stressed that he intends to fulfill his commitments until next Sunday (2), before temporarily moving away.

Father makes exciting outburst on the disease

“My recovery is not being easy, I’m still feeling very emotionally weakened, but, as I said to you, I will fulfill my schedule until Sunday now, we will have Santo Amaro da Purification, then I will take a break, intensify my treatment,” he said the religious. The last show before the break will take place in the city of Bahia, where he must perform to a large audience.

He also took the opportunity to thank the support messages he has received from the faithful. “Thank you very much for the numerous messages of love and affection, thank you very much, I’m even embarrassed,” said Fábio de Melo, visibly thrilled. The demonstration of affection from followers has been fundamental for him to continue facing this delicate moment with hope and faith.

Courage to expose your illness

Fábio de Melo has been one of the most active voices in Brazil by talking openly about depression, anxiety and other emotional challenges. In previous interviews, he revealed that the struggle against the disease is constant and seeks different forms of treatment, including therapy and spiritual support.

If you are facing symptoms of depression, it is essential to seek professional help. Psychologists and psychiatrists can offer the necessary support through therapy and, if indicated, medication. Talking to friends and family can also be an important first step. In addition, services such as CVV (Life Valuation Center) offer free emotional support by phone 188 or through the site. Remember: You are not alone, and asking for help is an act of courage.
