The petista could not speak with the president of Casa Baixa on Saturday (1st.FEV) because the deputy was speaking at the time of call
The president (PT) called this Sunday (2.FEV.2025) to the House (Republicans-PB), and congratulated the claim. The Chief Executive said he wished a harmonious relationship between executive and legislature.
The petista had already tried to talk to Motta on Saturday night (1.FEV), but the deputy was speaking after his election. During Sunday’s conversation, Lula invited him to a breakfast at the Dawn Palace, along with the Senate President, (União Brasil-AP).
Motta was elected with 444 votes, lower than the predecessor, (PP-AL), which took 464 votes in 2023.
The government expects motta management to facilitate political articulation in the House. The Minister of Institutional Relations, maintains a good relationship with the new president of the House, which can unlock guidelines of interest to the Planalto.
The relationship with Motta tends to be more fluid than it was with Arthur Lira, who, despite having approved important measures for the executive, had clashes with the government and broke relations with Padilha.
