Thousands of inhabitants are running away from Santorini after hundreds of surroundings have been registered near the Greek island in the last 48 hours.

Kostas Sakavaras, a tour guide who has lived in Santorini for 18 years, left the island with his wife and children on Monday: “We considered it to be a better option to come to the continent by precaution, until schools again reopen” , I told the BBC.
Already the Mayor of Santorini, Nikos zorzosguaranteed that the island is prepared for a seismic activity that can last many weeks. For now, plans are being prepared to build shelters and provide food to the population if larger tremors appear.
