Earthquake in Santorini, Greece
Thousands of inhabitants are running away from Santorini after hundreds of surroundings have been registered near the Greek island in the last 48 hours.
In the last two days, more than 300 Long Earthquakes of Santorini. Experts say that the tremors recorded at the Aegean Sea, northeast of the Greek island, may continue for the coming weeks.
However, almost 10,000 people have already abandoned Santorini since Sunday, being, as it refers to, scheduled for this Tuesday, the departure of more emergency flights.

Kostas Sakavaras, a tour guide who has lived in Santorini for 18 years, left the island with his wife and children on Monday: “We considered it to be a better option to come to the continent by precaution, until schools again reopen” , I told the BBC.
Already the Mayor of Santorini, Nikos zorzosguaranteed that the island is prepared for a seismic activity that can last many weeks. For now, plans are being prepared to build shelters and provide food to the population if larger tremors appear.
With the seismic activity to remain intense in the region, the authority are in alert not only for Santorini, but also for Amorgos, Anafi e ios.
The Greek authorities said the recent tremors were related to the tectonic plates movements and not with volcanic activity.
Santorini is located in the Hellenic volcanic arch and is famous for his boiler-a cup-shaped crater caused by a volcanic eruption-which was formed by one of the largest explosions known about 3,600 years ago.
The last large earthquake in Santorini – with a magnitude of 7.5 – occurred in 1956, killing at least 53 people.
