Donald Trump signed a decree renewing the US hard policy against Iran.
The re -introduction of maximum pressure against Iran by US President Donald Trump will end in failure, as during his first term. On Wednesday it was declared by Iranian boss of diplomacy Abbas Arakči. TASR informs according to AFP.
On Tuesday, Donald Trump signed a decree to renew the harsh policy of the United States against Iran to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon and stop Iranian oil exports. However, he hopes that he will not have to apply hard policy and reach an agreement with Tehran.
Iran and Washington withdrew from a nuclear agreement
Iran’s Foreign Minister also reiterated in an interview with the media that his country was not planning to get nuclear weapons. In 2015, a nuclear agreement was signed between Tehran and the world’s powers. On this basis, Iran has committed to limit its nuclear program in exchange for the release of sanctions.
Washington withdrew from this agreement during the first term of office of Donald Trump. In response to this, Iran began to withdraw from his obligations. However, he repeatedly expressed his willingness to renew the agreement.
AFP added that in early January – before Trump’s return to the White House – Iranian officials conducted talks about their nuclear program with negotiators from Britain, France and Germany. Both sides described the talks as honest and constructive.
