Which clubs of Marcelo’s career?
Marcelo Vieira da Silva Júnior was born on May 12, 1985 in Rio de Janeiro. Left -handed and skilled, it was not long before entering the Fluminense base in 2002.
At the club, Marcelo remained until 2006, when he was sold to Real Madrid for 7 million euros. The defender remained at the club until the 2021/22 season and entered the history of the merengue club as the third player with the most titles for Real Madrid, with 25 cups won.
After ending the cycle at the Spanish club, the defender had a brief stint at Greece’s Olympiacos, with only 10 matches and three goals, until we put on the Fluminense shirt again.
But the return to the heart team was not as Marcelo imagined. He had a disagreement with Mano Menezesna Final Straight of Fluminense x Grêmio, on Friday (01/11), in a game valid for the Brazilian Championship.
Marcelo was on the bench the game almost all. 44 minutes into the second half, he was called by Mano Menezes to take action. The “Premiere” channel cameras caught the player making a negative sign with his head. Mano then ordered Marcelo to return to the bench, pushing the athlete’s chest.

Flu won the match 2-1 at the moment, but gave a draw 2-2.
After the match, coach Mano Menezes clarified what happened with Marcelo at a news conference. According to the coach, he did not like a speech from the side on the edge of the field.
– I would put Marcelo at that time, but I heard something I didn’t like and changed my mind. I put JK on the edge, is a power player for you to have a way out. At that time when you come in, you come in to close the game, there’s no way, right? So, any player, when you will put in the final minutes, you tell him that he is entering the closing of a game. The player knows that. But the question we will solve internally. Thank you, ”said Mano.
Behind the scenes, there are rumors that the mood between the two was not the best for a long time. The discussion only made public something that was no longer well.
