Neoenergia Signs Hydroelectric Sales in Paraná for EDF

Neoenergia () announced on Wednesday (5) that he signed an agreement to sell the Low Iguaçu Hydroelectric Power Plant to, in an operation evaluated at 1.4 billion reais.

The transaction involves the alienation of 100% of the shares of the Blue Céda Generation, a company that owns 70% of the plant operating consortium. According to Neoenergia, the operation is still subject to the eventual exercise of the right of preference by Copel, which has the remaining 30% of the consortium.

The Iguaçu Baix Hydroelectric Hydroelectric is in Paraná and a installed capacity of 350 Megawatts (MW), with a physical warranty of 172 Middle Megawatts (MWM).

The conclusion of the operation is also subject to preceding conditions, such as approvals of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and the Aneel Regulatory Agency, the Neoenergia added.

“This operation reinforces the company’s active rotation strategy focused on portfolio optimization with value generation, following the capital discipline and simplification of its structure,” the company said in a relevant fact.
