Motorcyclist Francisco Rafael de Melo, 64, was the victim of a serious run over on the morning of Friday (7), at the intersection of Rua Marechal Deodoro and Avenida Brasil, in downtown Rio Branco.

According to witness information, a silver-colored Toyota Hilux pickup truck and MZU-9236 license plate, driven by an unidentified woman, was driving towards a center-center by Marechal Deodoro Street. When trying to access Avenida Brasil, turning left, the driver ended up colliding with motorcyclist Francisco, who followed in the same direction and intended to continue his journey through Marechal Deodoro Street.
With the impact, Francisco was thrown under the vehicle, along with his Yamaha Factor motorcycle, purple color and NAE-8J69 license plate.

Popular people passing by helped lift the car and remove the victim. Then they called the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which provided first aid. The motorcyclist suffered a fracture in his right leg, laceration in his right knee with bone exposure and abrasions on the head and arm.
After the initial care, he was sent to the Rio Branco Emergency Room, where his health was considered stable. The driver remained at the scene and assisted in helping the victims.
Traffic policing was triggered, isolated the area for the work of the expertise and, after the usual procedures, released the vehicles.
