Striker Serhou Guirassy, the Champions League scorer, shone by scoring a goal and assisting Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 win over Sporting in Lisbon on Tuesday (11). The victory puts the finalists of the last edition of the competition in a comfortable position to secure the place in the round of 16.
Guirassy opened the scoring 15 minutes into the second stage, heading his tenth goal in the competition, before providing a perfect pass for Pascal Gross to expand the advantage at 23 minutes. Karim Adeyemi completed the 37 -minute victory after a quick five -touch transition.
The game marked the debut of Niko Kovac, a coach who took over the team last week, but saw his team suffer at home for Stuttgart last Saturday at Champions.
The return game in Dortmund will take place next Wednesday, February 19 at 5 pm (Brasília).
