ÖVP lost absolute, but remained first in Vösendorf


Vösendorf – The ÖVP lost the absolute majority of the mandate on Sunday at the non -tour municipal council election in Vösendorf (Mödling district), but first place in the market town at the gates of Vienna. The People’s Party achieved 33.13 percent and twelve (previously 17) of the 33 mandates. The SPÖ (28.11 percent, ten seats) and the citizen list V2000 (18.96 percent, six) landed in the places. Seven parties and lists had competed, six made their way into the local parliament.
