If you don’t have three, sleep in the star of the world sky, looking at the sky, which will be wonderful, ”Lula said during an agenda in the capital of Pará for the delivery of units of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program.
“COP is a UN event. And the UN chose Brazil, which chose Pará, which chose Belém. ‘Oh, but in Belém there is no hotel.’ It’s good that you don’t have it. It’s good that they take Carapanã bite, ”he said.

COP30 will be held between November 10 and 21. Nine months from the beginning of the event, Belém undergoes a crisis in the hotel offering for tourists and foreign delegations. During the event, Lula stated that he had questions about COP30’s headquarters choice. Nevertheless, Lula defended Belém’s nomination, highlighting the criterion of the capital of Para being located in the territory of the Legal Amazon.

With COP30 on the horizon, Belém has been receiving investments from the city hall, the state government and the federal executive. The municipal management announced in 2024 that it intended to invest R $ 1 billion in structuring works until the summit was held. Helder Barbalho (MDB) management reported investments of $ 4 billion in the state capital, while the amount invested by the federal government is $ 4.6 billion.
