The official account of the Supreme Court Minister (STF), Alexandre de Moraeson social network X (previously known as Twitter), was disabled on Friday (21).
The STF’s advisory confirmed that the initiative to deactivate the profile was a voluntary action by Moraes, which has not used the application since January 2024.
Created in August 2017, Moraes’s profile did not receive frequent updates, but was still active until the beginning of this week.
On Friday morning, users who tried to access the profile found the message: “This account does not exist. Try to get another one. ” This warning is common when the user himself chooses to delete the account.
On Thursday (20), Moraes to Social Network X, for not meeting a court order that required the delivery of registration data of a profile associated with blogger Allan dos Santos.
The request was made in the context of an inquiry that investigates Santos’s involvement in crimes on social networks. Ox, by Elon Musk, did not provide the requested information, arguing that “X operators do not collect registration data”, leading to the penalty that, so far, already has $ 8.1 million.
