Are you looking for an idea for an original baking that will delight your guests and household members? Grits This cake is very similar to a holenator, but it hides an extremely delicious mass with semolina.
The ingredients needed to make this dessert are usually at hand in a home pantry, it doesn’t take much time – maybe you’ll try it this weekend?
Cake:
- 450 g of wheat flour,
- 150 g of butter,
- 2 eggs,
- 80 g of liquid honey,
- 50 g cukru,
- 1-2 tablespoons of milk,
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
Grysik mass:
- 1000 ml of milk,
- 10 tablespoons of semolina,
- 200 g of butter (it can also be margarine) at room temperature,
- 170 g cukru,
- 2 packaging of vanilla sugar.
Icing:
- 100 g of dark chocolate,
- 60 g of butter,
- 50 g of coconut flakes.
Make a cake. Pour on a large bowl, pour the flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda. Mix so that the ingredients combine. Add cold butter chopped into pieces. Start kneading the dough. Then add eggs and honey. Combine the ingredients vigorously, adding milk so that the consistency is not too loose.
Divide the dough into three parts. Cool each of them in the fridge. Roll out the chilled dough to the dimensions of the mold, i.e. about 32 × 22 cm lined with baking paper. Bake each part in a preheated oven to 160 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes. When the dough gets golden, pull it out and put more. After baking, it can still be soft, but leave to cool on a grid, it will get harder.
Prepare the mass. Pour milk into a saucepan, add semolina to it and cook, stirring all the time. When the mass gets thick, set aside from the heat and wait for full cooling.
Place the soft butter in a high dish. Add both sugars. Mix until you get a fluffy, light mass. Add a spoonful of previously prepared mass. Mix to combine the ingredients.
Finally, make a chocolate coating. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add chopped chocolate and mix until the mass gets shiny and smooth.
Now fold the dough. Put half the mass on the first top. Cover with the second part of the dough. Spread the remaining mass and cover with honey cake. Finish the whole with chocolate coating and coconut flakes. Put in the fridge so that the grits concentrate.
