Rio de Janeiro City Hall expects to receive 2 million people with Lady Gaga concert

“Everyone in Rio” was announced on Friday (21/2), when the city of Rio de Janeiro officially confirmed the Lady Gaga megashow on the sands of Copacabana. The team explained, during the press conference, that they hope to receive an audience of approximately 2 million people in the city.

The event will take place on May 3rd and, for comparison, the Madonna show in May 2024 received an audience of 1.6 million people, according to data released by Riotur. The new edition of the event will take place after the release of “Mayhem”, the new album of Diva Pop.

Luiz Oscar Niemeyer, president of the company responsible for organizing the event, pointed out that the expectation is to increase the previous movement of tourists between 25% and 30%. In the coming days, the values ​​that the city and the government of Rio de Janeiro will also be released to invest to bring the artist.

This will be the second time Lady Gaga has come to Brazil, 13 years after her first presentation in the country. In 2017, the star had a confirmed show at Rock in Rio, but had to cancel him last minute for health problems.

Lady Gaga’s presentation will be broadcast on TV open by Globo, pay TV by Multishow and streaming by the globe.
