Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that he is willing to give up his position if it means peace in Ukraine, saying he could exchange his departure through the entrance of Ukraine in NATO.
“If (that means) peace to Ukraine, if you really need me to leave my post, I’m ready,” said Zelensky annoyed when asked during a news conference if he was ready to leave his position if that meant to ensure peace.
“I can change this for NATO (adhesion), if this condition is there, immediately,” added the president.
US President Donald Trump pressured that elections would happen in Ukraine, with labeling Zelensky of “dictator”, an apparent reference to the Ukrainian leader’s five -year term of five -year term in 2024.

Trump’s criticism of Zelensky has emerged when relations between the two leaders have deteriorated dramatically in recent weeks.

Zelensky opposed the idea of elections during a large -scale war, a position supported by its main domestic political opponents.
He also said he wanted to see US President Donald Trump as a Ukraine partner and more than a simple mediator between Kiev and Moscow.
“I really want it to be more than just mediation … this is not enough,” he said.
