The streets of Carvoeiro beach are preparing to receive four days of celebration, revelry and animation with Carnival 2025, which this year has as the theme “The Four Elements-Fire, Water, Earth and Air”.
The event is organized by the Carvofestas Association, with the support of the municipality of Lagoa, the Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro and the Carvoeirense Recreational Society.
The party starts on Saturday, March 1, with the traditional masquerade ball, at the headquarters of Carvoeirense Recreational Society, from 22:00. The night promises music, animation and intergenerational conviviality, starting a carnival full of surprises.
On Sunday, March 2, there is the great carnival parade, which will fill the streets of the village of color and joy from 15:00. With about 250 extras and 6 floats, the event promises to be the best edition ever. After the parade, the party continues at Largo da Praia, with music and outdoor dance.
The animation extends on Monday, March 3, with a new ball at Carvoeirense Recreational Society, repeating the carnival parade on Tuesday, March 4, also at 15:00.
With the investment of Carvofestas and the municipality of Lagoa, the 2025 edition promises to exceed expectations and offer four days of great animation.
Access and Traffic
The parade runs through the main streets of the village, including the Farol Road, Barranco Street, Fisherman Street and Largo da Carvoeiro. Admission is free, and the organization invites the entire population to participate and live the true carnival spirit.
Carvofestas and the municipality of Lagoa recommend that visitors arrive early to avoid embarrassment, as there will be traffic conditioning on Rua dos Fishermen and Rua do Barranco from 15:00.
It promises to be one of the highlights of the region’s festivities, ensuring joy and fun for all ages.
