The Justice of Spain rejected, in an injunction, a request for arrest against journalist Oswaldo Eustáquio on Wednesday (26). He is considered a fugitive by the Brazilian court and has two preventive issued by Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Court (STF).
Eustáquio is accused of threat, corruption of minors and attempted abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law.
After the favorable decision, the journalist told the portal Poder360: “Justice and truth prevailed. This freedom of mine was expensive, but it is being a tool to show the world that Brazil is going through a crisis in the judiciary. ”
This is the third decision favorable to Eustaquius against the Brazilian State.
In June 2023, Interpol denied a Federal Police request to include it in the Red Notification list. The justification was the fact that the journalist requested asylum in Paraguay, which prevents his inclusion on the basis of wanted from the international entity.
In the neighboring country, he also obtained a provisional permanence document issued by the National Commission for Paraguayan Conare and Refugees (Conare).

This Friday (28), the defense of Eustáquio filed a request to suspend the extradition process until the Spanish government judges its political asylum request.
In October last year, Moraes had formally requested his extradition. So far, however, he has not been convicted or the target of any formal accusation in Brazilian courts.
