Barcelona thrashed Real Sociedad 4-0 on Sunday (2) at the Montjuic Olympic Stadium, in a match valid for Laliga’s 26th round. With goals from Gerard Martín, Marc Casadó, Ronald Araújo and Robert Lewandowski, the Catalans resumed the leadership of the competition.
The confrontation was marked by the early expulsion of defender Aritz Elustondo, from the 16th minute of the first half. With one more player, he opened the score on 24 minutes with Gerard Martín, expanding shortly thereafter with Casadó.
In the second half, Araújo and Robert Lewandowski completed the rout, consolidating the superiority of home owners.
The team led by Hansi Flick has finished 30 times, 10 on the target, against no finalization of Real Sociedad. The difference in ball possession was also overwhelming, with 76.9% for Blaugranas.
