The plane had no flight plan, enrollment or contact with the national control agencies. After contact attempts made by an A-29 Super Tucano fighter, warning shots and detention shots were applied. The pilot made a forced landing near Tefé (AM).
After landing, agents of the PF (Federal Police) went to the scene in a H-60 Black Hawk helicopter and detained the pilot.
There is no information on the suspect’s identity, why it crossed the border or if the plane was being used for drug trafficking.
Interception is part of joint efforts between the Ministry of Defense and public security bodies in the fight against drug trafficking.
