Barcelona beat Real Betis 3-1 this Sunday (17), at Spotify Camp Nou, in the 37th round of La Liga. A highlight of the match, Raphinha scored twice, while João Cancelo completed the scoring for the Catalans. Isco discounted it for the visitors.
Already Spanish champion since the 10th, Barcelona reached 94 points and celebrated another victory in front of their fans. Betis, in turn, remained in fifth place, with 57 points, and has already secured a place in the next edition of the Champions League.
The first goal came in the 28th minute of the opening stage. Raphinha took a free kick with class and hit the angle to open the scoring in Barcelona. The Brazilian appeared decisively again in the second half. In the 16th minute, he took advantage of Héctor Bellerín’s defensive error to score the second goal of the match.
Betis still tried to react. In the 24th minute, Isco converted a penalty and reduced the difference. Barcelona’s response, however, was immediate. Shortly afterwards, João Cancelo hit a beautiful shot to close the score at 3-1.
The match also had a farewell atmosphere at Camp Nou. Striker Robert Lewandowski made his last appearance at Barcelona’s stadium before leaving the club at the end of the season.
Hired in 2022, the Polish center forward ends his time at Barça with three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups. Over four seasons, he played 191 games, scored 119 goals and distributed 22 assists. In 2024/25, he enjoyed his highest goalscoring phase at the club, with 42 goals in 52 games.
In the last round of La Liga, Barcelona will face Valencia next Saturday (23), at 4pm (Brasília time). At the same time, Betis faces Levante.
