United States Diplomacy Chief Marco Rubio announced the approval of about $ 4 billion (3.85 billion euros) in military aid to Israel.
“I signed a statement to use emergency powers to speed up the delivery of approximately $ 4 billion in military aid to Israel,” the US Secretary of State said on Saturday.
Rubio’s emergency declaration allows the State Department to avoid the need for congressional delivery, the US Parliament.
Rubio also recalled that the new president of the United States, Donald Trump, raised a partial embargo on the sale of arms to Israel, imposed by the predecessor, Joe Biden.

Gaza’s conflict began after a Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 and caused 1200 dead in Israel, mostly civilians, and made about 250 hostages, according to Telavive.
