The state of Acre has faced a warning of public health due to the significant increase in dengue cases. Between weeks 1 and 18 of 2025, the state registered 6,230 probable cases.
This amount corresponds to an increase of 183.1%, when compared to the same period last year, when 2.201 were probable cases of the disease.

In addition, the incidence rate of dengue in the state is 707.4 for every 100,000 people, one of the highest in the country.

The population, especially in the most affected areas, has been warned of the importance of preventing Aedes aegypti mosquito prevention, transmitting the disease, and the risks associated with lack of proper care.
To contain the advance of dengue, the state government has adopted emergency actions. In January 2025, Governor Gladson Cameli decreed emergency in public health. The measure is valid for 90 days.
Dengue, which may have symptoms such as high fever, pain behind the eyes, body pain and red spots on the skin. In the state, the disease vaccine is already being offered, available in health facilities, for the group of 10 to 14 years.
