The federal government prepares an announcement of a package of measures to cheapen food prices. The package is expected to be announced later this Thursday (6) after meeting of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) with representatives of the food sector.
The information was confirmed by ministers Paulo Teixeira (Agrarian Development), Carlos Fávaro (agriculture) and Sidônio Palmeira (Communication).
