The Civil Police arrested, on Saturday morning (8), Gabriel Oliveira Cunha, 29, in the extreme extension, in the rural area of Manoel Urbano. Against him, there was a warrant of pre -trial detention for murder in the municipality, where he would have attacked a person with a third.

The arrest occurred during an investigation into cattle theft in Capixaba. Cunha was suspected of stealing animals from a policeman’s relative. In locating the possible hiding place of the Furtado cattle, the teams of the Civil Police of Capixaba and Rio Branco confirmed the crime and checked the open arrest warrant.
The suspect would have stolen more than 20 head of cattle, part of them recovered in the operation. To fulfill the warrant, the agents had to walk almost 10 km through the extreme extension. After the arrest, they returned on foot, while the detainee was escorted to horse, as the rains made the place impassable.
