Algarve presents diversified offer at BTL and promises to surprise visitors

The Algarve will be present at BTL – Lisbon Tourism Scholarship 2025, with a diverse program that reflects the gastronomic, cultural and natural wealth of the region. From March 12 to 16, the Algarve stand, located in FIL pavilion 1, will be a real stage of immersive experiences, bringing together industry professionals and the general public on a unique trip by the Algarve destination.

The program begins on March 12 (Wednesday) with the presentation of innovative projects, such as “VRSA in the open” and the certification of Albufeira as sustainable tourist destination. In the afternoon, the flavors of the Algarve gain protagonism with the initiatives “Orange and Algarve – brands that intersect and complement” and “Algarve Golden Terroir”. Nature tourism and sustainability will also be in evidence with the presentation of the “Nautical Portugal Route” and the “Algarve Walking Season”.

On Thursday, March 13, the morning starts with the 4th edition of the National Agenda “In the Discovery of Industrial Tourism”, promoted by Turismo de Portugal. One of the high moments of the day will be the intervention of the president of Tourism of Algarve, André Gomes, at 14h00, where will be shared the main strategies and initiatives to boost the future of tourism in the region, under the celebrations of the 55th anniversary of Algarve Tourism. The afternoon will also feature presentations by Geopark Algarvensis, from the project “Albufeira European City of Sport” and a celebration of regional confectionery, promoted by the municipality of Olhão, where the Follar and the Traditional Algarve Sweets will be the stars.

Friday, March 14, marks the opening of the fair to the public and will be a day full of emblematic events. In the morning, will take place the presentations of the “Serra da Serra São Brás de Alportel 2025”, “Monte Gordo Sand Race” and “Smuggling Festival”. The afternoon will be dedicated to cultural events, such as the “Vila Real de Santo António Setecentista Historical Festival” and the “Discoveries Festival – The Great Adventure: From Lakes to Japan”. Enogastronomy will also have a prominent space, with a demonstration promoted by the Algarve tourism under the “Internationalize + Algarve 3.0” project.

On Saturday, March 15, regional flavors continue to delight visitors with initiatives such as “Peanuts in Party” in Aljezur and a special session dedicated to the “Monchique Flavors”.

It culminates on Sunday, March 16, with the presentation of the “Festival Med”, one of the most emblematic cultural events of the Algarve, promoted by the municipality of Loulé. Music and dance will mark the closing of the Algarve presence on BTL 2025 in style.

With a dynamic program and a tourist offer of excellence, Algarve tourism reaffirms itself as a reference destination on BTL 2025, promising to surprise visitors and industry professionals with memorable experiences.
