The Spanish construction company Navantia has been chosen by the Royal Thai Marina (RTN), to enhance the HTMS Chang combat ship, built in China, as the specialized portal points out Infodenfensa.
To carry out the operation, which has not been signed for the moment, 25 million euros will be allocated, according to the information collected by the medium, which cites RTN. As they explain, Navantia’s work will be to install the Catiz Combat and Dress Tire Control system.
On the other hand, two seasons of remote weapons are expected to be installed from EME & E. The ship was built in the Chinese shipyard Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in Shanghai, linked to the Chinese state corporation of naval constructions (CSSC).
Together with the incorporation of the Catiz system to this ship, Navantia is also expected to also include this system in two navy patrols (HTMS Patthania and HTMS Nashiwat.
