The updating of the value of family allowance and other social benefits is expected to be published in the coming days, with retroactive effect to January. According to the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security (MTSSS), the new amounts may be paid as early as April.
The increase results from the update of the Index of Social Support (IAS) to 2025, which directly influences the value of family benefits.
In addition to the family allowance, the update covers the prenatal family allowance, the disability bonus, the third-person assistance allowance, the increase for numerous and numerous families and the guarantee for childhood.
The allowance for funeral expenses will also be updated, with an increase of 2.6%.

New family allowance values
For families inserted in the first echelon of income, corresponding to aggregates with annual yields up to 8,059 euros, family allowance for children will be 186.87 euros per month, reflecting an increase of 3.84 euros.
For children and young people over 36 months, the value rises 1.51 euros, setting at 73.51 euros.
Already in the fourth level, which covers income between 17,233 euros and 22,306 euros a year, the amount of the allowance will be 86.53 euros for children up to three years and 43.81 euros for children and young people above this age.

The prenatal family allowance will have the following monthly values:
- 186.87 euros for the 1st echelon of income;
- 158.17 euros for the 2nd level;
- 129.23 euros for the 3rd level;
- 86.53 euros for the 4th level.
The funeral allowance will be fixed at 261.25 euros, corresponding to 50% of IAS.
The disability bonus becomes 72.59 euros for beneficiaries up to 14 years, 105.73 euros for young people between 14 and 18 years and 141.52 euros for beneficiaries between 18 and 24 years.
Finally, the third -person assistance subsidy will be updated to 125.48 euros monthly.
The official publication of the new value tables should take place in the coming days, allowing families to receive the adjusted amounts already in the payment of April.
