Out of reality: Matrinator titles are a fan of football – 13/03/2025 – The world is a ball

Do you like to be fooled? I don’t like. And I get bothered by the amount of misleading news that is offered to me.

It happens day by day, via cell phone. Even though I did not register to receive alert from a particular site, it arrives. (You should give it to block, I will find out how.)

It also occurs when I turn off the screen to the side, and appears a list with “news”. This list offers me predominantly football content. My phone knows that I like and follow football – there is some tool, some company that monitors me.

I write “News” among quotes, because a part of them does not correspond to reality. At least, not in the title. It is the so -called title “Hunt click”.

The most recent example, verified when I write, is this: “By CBF rule, Corinthians, Palmeiras and Grêmio are out of the Brazilian Cup.” With the word “out” in bottle letters.

Like this? I’m sure these great teams are in the Brazilian Cup. So the title is liar? AND. Because it is incomplete. In the text, the mention is the under-17 Brazilian Cup.

Who published? A site called basketball every day, which neither football content should publish. Same as, a day earlier, he titled “Palmeiras closes business with L. Henrique”. Oops! Luiz Henrique, who shone at Botafogo in 2024? No. Lucas Henrique, 17, from the base categories.

Other examples of cliff hunting titles: “Guardiola hit a contract and closed with Real Madrid”, “Salah decides to play in a European giant after leaving Liverpool at the end of the season” (Somos Fanatics), “Brazilian team confirms friendly in Pacaembu” (Palmeirense Portal).

No, the text says nothing about hit with Pep Guardiola Real, who has a contract until 2027 with Manchester City. No, the text does not point to where Mohamed Salah will, if Liverpool leaves, only highlights PSG’s interest. And yes, the text states that the Brazilian team will play at Pacaembu – not football, as anyone supposes, but the basketball female, in the gym of the São Paulo arena.

Bave the estelionate. Titles are manipulated to induce the reader to click on it. For what purpose? Win an audience to be able to attract advertisers to your pages and make money. Who announces? Predominantly, betting houses.

About betting houses, when I see sportsmen and renowned personalities, including football stars and even Olympic champions, propagating gambling, outrage. My daughter, a student who sometimes acts as an influencer, told me that she refused offer (with considerable cache) to promote the game of Tigrinho. I was proud of her.

I mentioned a block of websites, there are dozens of others that resort to the same cunning device of the title hunting. If the scam is often used, it is because it results.

These same sites, when presenting themselves, talk about adopting “modern journalism”, escaping “plastered journalism”, offering “carefully elaborate content”, “rigorously investigating” and “verification of facts”. If journalism could, would process them.

Conclusion 1: There are many people who deceive in sports media. Conclusion 2: There are a lot of people who like, or accept, be fooled and, worse, who spread fake news for their contact network (friends, relatives, the class “of the football group”).

Disinformation that runs loose without anyone surrounding the method. Failure without limits. I don’t like. And you?
