Will say he received Trump letter to negotiate nuclear program

At the moment Gargash delivered the letter to Araqchi, the supreme leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, once again refused to negotiate with the US

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Araqchi Abbas, said he received a letter from US President Donald Trump, asking Tehran to negotiate the nuclear program, Iranian press said today.

“I received Mr. Anwar Gargash, diplomatic counselor of the president of the United Arab Emirates. In addition to conversations about mutual and regional issues, I also received a letter from the president of the United States, ”Araqchi said late Wednesday night, according to the IRNA official news agency.

The head of Iranian diplomacy did not make public the content of Trump’s letter, which announced last Friday sent a message to Iran, in which he set up negotiations about the Persian country’s nuclear program and made reference to a possible military action if there was no dialogue.

If on the one hand, he appealed for negotiations, on the other, the Republican resumed the so -called “maximum pressure” policy against Iran, approving new sanctions to block the sale of Iranian oil.

By the time Gargash delivered the letter to Araqchi, Iran’s supreme leader, there Khamenei, once again refused to negotiate with the US.

“When the president of the United States says he is ready to negotiate with Iran and invites us to the dialogue, he is fooling world public opinion,” Khamenei said, in a meeting with students in Teerão.

The highest political and religious authority of the Islamic Republic has ensured that Trump only invites dialogue to say that “Iran refuses to negotiate” and recalled that in the first term (2017-2021) as US president, he abandoned the 2015 nuclear pact.

This pact limited the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for the sanction survey and was signed between Iran and Germany, the United Kingdom, China, France, Russia and the United States, which abandoned it and reintroduced unilaterally economic measures against Tehorão.

Iran is enriching uranium far above the permitted level and has 274 pounds enriched to 60% purity, close to 90% for military use, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (AIEA).
