Turkish media point out that President Erdogan told Donald Trump that Turkey is supporting “Trump’s immediate and decisive initiatives to end the war between Russia and Ukraine”.
According to the Turkish Presidency’s announcement, Erdogan told Trump that the US should end sanctions imposed on Turkey under the Caatsa law, complete the process of buying F-16 fighter aircraft and reintroduce Turkey to the F-35 fighter program.
Turkey reiterated that it does not recognize the annexation of Crimea
The Turkish Foreign Ministry reiterated Turkey’s position on Crimea’s annexation to Russia. Of course, this was done on the occasion of the eleven years. In its statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry points out that it supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
