Israel will increase "military intensity" against Hamas

The Israeli government attack on the Gaza Strip killed more than 400 people on Tuesday, and ended the ceasefire that had been in effect since January 19.

Israel will, “From now on, act against Hamas with increasing military intensity,” the Ministry of Israelite Foreign Affairs said, a few hours after a that ended two months of respite.

“Since dawn, Israel has been operating in strength against the terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip,” said Ministry spokesman Oren Marmstein, in a statement published on social network X, adding that the country came to this situation “after Hamas repeatedly rejected proposals to prolong the ceasefire and free Israeli hostages.

The Israeli government attack on the Gaza strip killed more than 400 people, and ended the ceasefire that had been in effect since January 19.

“Hamas rejected two concrete mediation proposals presented by the US presidential envoy, Steve Witkoff. Israel accepted these mediation proposals. Hamas rejected them,” he says in the message.

First phase of ceasefire ended two weeks ago

The first phase of the ceasefire signed between Israel and Hamas ended on March 2 without agreement on the implementation of the second phase contemplated in the truce.

The second phase included a definitive ceasefire, but Israel defended a prolongation of the first phase, with new Israelite hostage release in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, in line with proposals presented by the US.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman added that Israel is “attacking Hamas terrorist targets throughout Gaza as a way to achieve war objectives, which include the release of all hostages, the dismantling of Hamas military and government infrastructure and the elimination of Gaza’s terrorist threat to Israel and its citizens.”

Netanyahu has already explained return to attacks

The return to Israeli bombing was explained by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “a repression to the terrorist organization Hamas” for not having delivered 59 of the people kidnapped on October 7, 2023 who remain in Palestinian territory, of which about 30 are expected to be killed.

According to the Gaza Strip government, most of the dead recorded by this dawn’s Telavive attack were women and children.

The Israeli Defense Minister had already announced that the country “resumed fighting” in the Gaza Strip until all hostages still retained by the Palestinian Islamite Movement were released.

According to the minister, Israel Katz, “the gates of hell will open up on Gaza” if the hostages are not released.
