Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he was surprised by protests against his electric vehicle automaker in the United States and attributed violent demonstrations to Democrats and the US left.
“It was a shock for me to realize that we are at this level of real hatred and left violence,” Musk said in an interview with Fox News. “I thought the left, the Democrats, were the party of empathy, the party that cares about others. But they are burning cars, launching Molotov cocktails and shooting dealers,” he added. “They are simply destroying Teslas.”

In recent weeks, dealers, recharge stations and Tesla vehicles have been targeted by a wave of attacks.
Musk has classified acts as “insane” and suggested that the demonstrations are related to their measures ahead of the Government Efficiency Department (Doge).
“When you take the money they are getting fraudulently, they are very angry. They want to kill me because I am preventing this fraud. And they want to hurt Tesla because we are fighting the terrible waste and corruption in government,” said the executive.
