Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs appreciated the assistance of North Korea in military operation in Ukraine and bilateral cooperation between states.
Hundreds of Russian soldiers injured in the war in Ukraine are being treated in North Korean hospitals, he said on Wednesday during the celebrations at the North Korea Embassy in Moscow, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrej Rdenko. According to TASR reports, TASR reports TASS and Jonhap.
“The fact that hundreds of Russian soldiers underwent rehabilitation in the best North Korean healing centers is a living example of a fraternal character of current relations between our countries,” Rundenko said at the reception on the occasion of 76.
Ruddenko visited Pyongyang this week to “talk to North Korean friends about bilateral cooperation, international and regional problems”. He also thanked the country for his help in “special military operation” in Ukraine.
Both states have been constantly developing relations since the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement of June 2024. North Korea, according to Jonhap, has since been sending its troops to the fight in Ukraine.
