SP government launches startup internationalization program

SP Global Tech will select up to 100 companies; Interested parties should apply until April 3 on the InvestSp website

The government of São Paulo launched this Wednesday (19.mar.2025) the announcement of the program, which will select up to 100 São Paulo startups interested in internationalizing. The program is free. Interested parties should apply until April 3rd through the website of (Paulista Agency for Investment and Competitiveness Promotion). Eis and of the Notice (PDF – 2 MB).

The program aims to enable companies online. Of the 100 startups, up to 20 will be selected for international missions with the government at world technology events.

The companies chosen for the missions will also have access to specific training for these events, as well as a maximum reimbursement of $ 3,000 to fund up to 50% of travel spending.

Among the objectives of the program are: Promote the Spai (Paulista System of Innovation Environments) in international markets, attract foreign investment to the state, encourage exports of technology products and services, and consolidate the image of São Paulo as a global pole of excellence in technology and innovation, as well as promoting the exchange of knowledge and increasing the competitiveness of São Paulo startups.

Startup selection will observe the following criteria:

  • It is understood as a startup a technology-based company, with a scalable and growing business model;
  • Those interested in participating in the program should be/have been created/incubated/accelerated in one of the innovation environments accredited as full or associate members of the SPAI;
  • will only accept startups in operation or higher;
  • They will only be considered startups based in the State of São Paulo.
