This hefty bulbous onion emits aroma, which is unpleasant for rodents, and so it keeps on. At the same time, it is a beautiful decoration of the garden – its massive flowers bloom early in the spring and give the beds an exotic touch.

Choose a suitable location
It is best used in places where mice and moles are most common, ie under the bushes, walls or along fences.
“The most suitable for large yarms is a sunny place with higher air humidity, nutritious humid soil. Small yarks need acid soils and shady habitats, especially suitable for rockeries,” advises experts from the gardening counseling center.

Moreover, the royal yer does not require complex care. All he needs is a sunny habitat and permeable soil. Regular watering will support its growth and during the season you will be pleased not only by its appearance, but also by helping to protect the garden from uninvited guests.
Although the royal yer can handle even colder weather outside, it pays to hide it home before the winter. His onions hate waterlogging, which often happens in winter. So before the frosts of the frost, either cover the plant with a layer of dry leaves or twinkles, which will protect it from freezing. But if winter is particularly stiff, you have to remove the onions from the ground, let them dry and store them in a dry but cool place. In the spring, it is enough to plant them again and the plant will flourish again.
So if you are looking for a natural and undemanding way to get rid of pests, the Royal yarrow is definitely worth a try.
