Israel launches a second wave of attacks in Lebanon against Hizbulá

The Israel Army has announced that it has launched a second wave of bombing against Hizbulá in Lebanon this Saturday, Ií. This Saturday, at least six people have died, including a girl, and about thirty have been injured in both waves.

“The Israel Defense Forces (FDI) attacked Hezbollah, infrastructure, terrorist, rocketructure and a warehouse of arms in Lebanon,” says the army in a statement.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the deadliest attack took place in the city of Tulin, “where five people died, including a girl, and Once were injured, including two children.”

According to the National Lebanese news agency, NNA, the Ministry of Health has reported that some of these second attacks occurred in the coastal city of Tire, 20 kilometers from the border with Israel. The Public Health Emergency Operations Center, under the Ministry, has indicated that “an incursion of the Israeli enemy in the city of Tire resulted in an updated balance of a dead person and seven other wounds.”

In other attacks in Al Qalila and Hosh al Sayyid Ali, at least nine people have been injured “according to a preliminary balance,” he added. The Lebanese National News Agency, NNA, has reported Israeli air bombings against dozens of southern villages, without making known at the moment if they caused victims.

In addition, NNA reports air attacks in the towns of Frun and Al Ghandouriya, inside the Lebanon 23 kilometers from the border, as well as in areas located between Siniya and Basaliya and around the city of Kfarhouuna in the Jezzine region.

Israel’s attacks respond to three rocket releases from Lebanese territory that the Israeli army intercepted early in the morning and that sounded anti -aircraft alarms in the Israeli town of Metula, about 150 meters from the border with Lebanon, attacks from which Hizbulá has been disconnected.

In response, Israel launched a fortnight of attacks against villages in the south of Lebanon, in which at least two people have died and another ten have been injured, according to the Lebanese civil defense.

The Israeli army has affirmed that the rockets launched from the Lebanon “constitute a flagrant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and is a direct threat to the citizens of the state of Israel.”

The Israeli armed forces have resonated the Lebanese state of the possible actions of Hizbulá (the group has been disconnected from the launch of rockets to Israel), as the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamín Netanyahu, and its Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, had already previously made.

After several months of climbing in 2024, which included intense Israeli air attacks against several parts of Lebanon and the entry of terrestrial troops through the southern border, Hizbulá and Israel signed a high fire agreement for a period of 60 days, which expired on January 26.

The truce subsequently extended until February 18, when Israeli troops withdrew from almost all the territories he had occupied in the south of the country. However, the Israel army maintains its presence in five hills within the Lebanon contravening the agreements and continues to promptly attack objectives linked to the Shiite group, an ally of Iran.

It is the first time that alarms in northern Israel sound for an attack launched from Lebanon since November 26, 2024, the day before the entrance of Alto El Fuego, the Israeli armed forces explained to Efe.
