“Although the risk for cattle remains low, I urge all animal owners to ensure scrupulous cleaning and immediately communicate any signs of infection to the animal and plant health agency,” Christine Middlemiss said.
Although only now H5N1 has been detected in sheep, the virus has been detected in cats, foxes, otters, dogs, pigs and cows.
