A powerful anti-aging overlooking was found in the remains of the Philippine rice wine, known as ask.
One wine of rice originating from Filipinas caught the attention of nutritionists by unexpectedly revealing their powerful anti -aging properties.
The wine known as ask It is made with a disc -shaped arrest culture called “Bubod” – composed of starch and beneficial microorganisms – which, when added native glutinous rice cooked, triggers a fermentation that ends up producing both wine and a solid byproduct, those “Borras” of ask.
The secret is precisely at the droops, which is usually lying away when the wine is strained and ready to drink.
Now, in a study recently in the Discover Foodscientists at the University of Philippines and the Anteneo University of Manila have found that the initial culture can be adjusted to have a great mix of beneficial insects and compounds and, in turn, produce a super-borre rich in polyphenols.
The conclusion of the study is that this super-borre could then constitute the basis of a new supplement with impressive anti-aging properties.
Polyphenols help the body combat oxidative stress, inflammation and cellular damage – all important to protect the body from chronic diseases and combat the aging process.
As New Atlas says, in this new study of Tapuy’s droops, the researchers found that all their “yeasts” gave a biological boost compared to the naturally aged control group.
For example, a tapuy sludge made from a yeast with high concentrations of Rhizopus oryzae, Mucor indicus e Saccharomyces cerevisiae increased the average life of C. elegans em 72,72%.
In addition, the worms not only lived more time, but also showed better health and cellular function at a later stage of life; and still produced more viable eggs over its reproductive period.
“Globally, worms treated with tapuy sludge extracts potently improved the behavior and speed of movements in a dose -dependent way,” says the researchers, cited by New Atlas.
The team makes a point of pointing out that these results are preliminary. The extract has now to be tested in humans. However, this is a very promising study for what might be a powerful addition to the struggle to slow aging.
