Moscow (Reuters)-Russia confirms that Moscow agreed to secure safe navigation in the Black Sea, Kremlin said on Tuesday.
Russia and the United States have also agreed to develop measures to stop attacks on Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities for a period of 30 days that began on March 18, he added.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a truce covering the Black Sea and the energy infrastructure had entered into force immediately on Tuesday and that he would seek more weapons and sanctions against Russia with Donald Trump if the Russian government broke the agreements.
The United States said earlier that they had made separate agreements with Kiev and Moscow to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea and to implement a ban on energy facilities in both countries.
“If the Russians violate this, then I have a direct question to President Trump. If they violate, here are the tests – we ask for sanctions, we ask for weapons, etc.,” Zelensky told reporters at a press conference in Kiev.
