The incidence of clinkers and cranks on the farm in Dolni Saliby in the Galanta district has not been confirmed. The test results were negative. TASR was stated by the director of the Regional Veterinary and Food Administration Galanta Bohuslava Miškovičová.
“The result of laboratory tests did not confirm the presence of the virus,” Miškovičová said. Slintečka and Krivačka is currently confirmed in livestock farms in four villages in the south of Slovakia.
The disease apparently came to Slovakia from Hungary. It is a serious, highly contagious, acute, feverish viral disease of livestock with significant economic impacts.
