Kenya recognized Kosovo as an independent state, for the first time since 2020, when his independence was recognized by Israel.

Kenya’s decision to recognize Kosovo announced Pacolli on his Facebook page and published photographs with Kenyan President William Ruta, who signed a letter on the recognition of Kosovo.
“I went from door to door, from office to office with the sole aim to hear the voice and right of the Kosovo people to freedom, independence and sovereignty,” Pacoli said, adding that he lobbied for recognition since 2009.
Kosovo is a majority inhabited ethnic albanians and declared independence from Serbia in 2008. For the disagreement of Serbia and his inclined powers, including Russia and China, which are permanent members of the UN Security Council is not a member of the United Nations.
Kosovo’s independence is recognized by the majority of Western states, including the US, Germany, France or Britain. Within the EU, its independence is not recognized by five Member States, including Slovakia, as well as India, Brazil, South Africa or Ukraine.
